The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Great location for exploring the local area. Easy parking on the main road outside. We were only given 2 normal towels for the 4 of us and when I requested more they didn’t bring any. We ended up having to buy some which was poor service.

Very clean, excellent decor and furnishings. Everything provided appliance wise. Nice home. Duvet too small in front bedroom. Did not cover the bed even before anyone got in.. Very small hand basin in bathroom, ideal for washing hands but did not hold sufficient water for a face wash. Host and Stay did not provide any access information until chased up on 2 different occasions. Then, I received several emails duplicating my receipts. Would not use again.

It was clean and comfy One of our party struggled with the stairs as the bannister rail stopped well short of the top

Clean, spacious I would be very reluctant to book accommodation with “Host & Stay” again, due to the fact that after pre-paying the accommodation for £350 (2 nights) they would not provide access details to the house until I paid another £250 as a deposit (this last item was not advertised clearly from the outset). I had to prompt them a number of times to initiate refund of the deposit which eventually was returned after a week. They also insisted that we left the premises at 10am on an Easter Sunday morning, not time to have a nice breakfast with the family – had to leave in a rush. Check-out time should be 12 o’clock in my view. When we arrived, the house had a smell of damp, although it was clean and tidy. The house was very cold the 1st night, bathroom was cold in the morning. The whole experience felt that Host & Stay’s priority was the money, and they lacked attention to make the experience more welcoming.

Great place and definitely happy to book again. We done damage, which we agreed but I felt the charge for damage wasn’t fair and I hope they can better in the future assist fare damage value.

My wife and I found Leaf Cottage to be almost perfect for our one week stay with a big thank you to Inga and Mark. We lacked for nothing in the cottage and found it very comfortable and relaxing. Being located in Seaham we found it to be ideal for visiting all the recommended places in the area. We would definitely return to Leaf Cottage when we next return to this area. Thank you Leaf Cottage for a great holiday...

We stayed for a couple of nights in Leaf Cottage. Parking is located on the main busy road which we didn’t have a problem with. The house was immaculate very well done out with the recent refurbishment. Small courtyard at the rear of the house with small table & 2 chairs which was sufficient for us. Bathroom downstairs which was strange but very well laid out due to the size of the house to enable to have 2 well sized bedrooms upstairs. Certainly recommend to others & we would return if visiting the area again as Seaham is a stunning location on the Durham Coast x

I stayed with my kids for a night for my birthday - we enjoyed the walk to the Seaham hall beach and came across a farm with sheep which my daughter "spoke" to and they replied and followed us asking for food. Quite an attraction! The beach is about 20min away walking and you can actually walk all the way to seaham city centre along the beach passing the Glass beach too where we found few peaces of glass. Then we walked back past the train station which isn't too far from the accommodation - quite a long walk all in all but even my 6 year old managed it :) the accommodation was very clean and modern, we were well pleased. I would stay there again, thank you!
