Traditional in style, this cosy first floor apartment is perfect for family getaways. When booking the apartment, you’ll have full access which includes an open plan living, kitchen and dining room, two ensuite bedrooms and a shared outdoor area with furniture. A dream staycation to recharge your batteries, you’ll soon forget the stresses of everyday life at The Granary.
The Granary has a welcoming and cosy living room. There is a traditional feel with exposed beams, a comfy sofa, matching armchair and log burner making it perfect for unwinding with your loved ones. The kitchen also shares the space. Fully equipped, you’ll have everything you could need to prepare meals during your stay. You’ll find two bedrooms at The Granary. The first bedroom boasts a king size bed and separate single along with an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub, overhead shower, WC and basin. The second bedroom features two single beds, along with an almost identical ensuite. Outside you’ll find a communal garden which is shared with the ground floor apartment, The Stable. There is outdoor furniture and a BBQ for you to use throughout your stay.

The closest train station to Newbrough can be found in Hexham, 5 miles away. From here, there is direct rail access to Carlisle, Morpeth, Newcastle and the Metrocentre. You’ll find one bus route in Newbrough. Hop on the 687 which terminates in Newbrough from Hexham, with stops in the neighbouring villages of Fourstones and Leazes.

Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to The Granary are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay. Private on-site parking is available for up to two vehicles. The surrounding farm is a working area so children should be supervised at all times. Other on-site buildings should not be entered without permission.

Het plaatje met de 2 banken was niet onze lokatie. Wij hadden de benedenverdieping. Die ziet er anders uit. Verder was alles schoon, de keukenmessen goed ingericht, een goede bed in een ruime slaapkamer en een ruime badkamer. De ligging op een heuveltop was fantastisch rustig. In het dorp onderaan de berg een kleine Co-op supermarkt. Er was voldoende drinkwater in flessen aanwezig. Uit eerdere reviews had ik begrepen dat het water niet van drinkkwaliteit was. Deze meldingen waren uit 2024, dus ik heb meerdere keren aan Host&Stay gevraagd of dit probleem opgelost was, maar kreeg steeds geen antwoord op mijn vraag, ook niet in de periode dat ik nog kon annuleren. Ik werd meerdere keren benaderd door Host&Stay over een afkoopregeling van 500 pond bij geval van schade, het aanbod van korting op een Gin-pakket of een korting voor een privé kok. Maar geen antwoord op mijn vraag over de waterkwaliteit. Die kreeg ik pas nadat ik in het appartement had ingecheckt en zag dat de waterproblemen van 2024 waren: wij waren er in augustus 2025! Wij hebben gewoon gedoucht en hebben geen last van het water uit de kraan gehad. In het huisje hangen waarschuwingen van de eigenaren over de drinkwaterproblemen van 2024. Ik zou die gewoon netjes vervangen met de datum 2025. Het appartement was prima (inderdaad: je hoort de bovenburen!). De organisatie achter de verhuur
